On Weds I received a baby (3/4") Brachypelma smithi from Jamie's Tarantulas. I haven't owned a T in a little over 20 yrs & that was an adult Grammastola rosea female. So I don't know anything about raising a baby T, but I've been closely studying my copy of Schultz & Schultz's The Tarantula Keepers Guide. Compared to the books I could find on caring for T's 20-some years ago, I'd say knowledge in the area of keeping or raising tarantulas has vastly improved. Thank goodness for that. I also have a rescue cat, Indy (short for Indigo), an old Skipperke (Kelly), and a chatty African Grey named Gracie. My folks have Walter, a spunky terrier. I moved back in with them in '98 after being diagnosed w/ insulin-dependent diabetes, and systemic lupus. My folks are my guardian angels in disguise, they never even hesitated about welcoming me back into their home when I got sick. I'm glad I found this forum as I think there's a lot to said about learning from others who are more knowledgeable than me regarding whatever subject I'm trying to learn about.    Steph</blockquote>
