That said my wife has bugged me for years to get a tarantula and i finally caved and have agreed to get her one. I know very little about them so I've been reading up on them a lot. We've decided on a green bottle blue as it seems like a lower difficulty spider for an introduction to the hobby as well as they are gorgeous.  My question on top of my introduction is where do I go about getting one, I'd prefer somewhere local to the northwest but it isn't essential.  Also is it possible to get a small (young) one that has at least a high probability of being female?
