It look like a really big Tank he might be digging cuz he can't find the hide that you provide or it really hot an digging to escape the heat. they don't like wet substrate eather and don't worry about not drinking any water they can last forever with out it and can u send more info like temp how big the enclosure is thank u

I've found that Ts don't prefer a large space, they're pretty blind and like to know where things are. Also, with a larger cage, the humidity will be challenging to keep consistent. If he isn't adjusting, I'd say get a smaller cage for him :) I've never seen any of mine drink water from a bowl, but it's definitely good to have, just in case. I once saw my T drink water on the side of the cage when I mist it, which is usually 2-3 times a week, but they can normally get their water from the food they eat.

25c is good temp and ya a smaller cage would be great that means two cages for two T :) but use dry sub for your G P an it can be 4 6 years to be fully grown

sorry i panic about water,i thought he will dehydrate..and yes he is adjusting i think, because i have him only 3 days,so maybe his still trying to find his place to hide..should i bought him smaller cage, beacause if i do he will need to adjust on that cage too or should i let him stay here?
and thanks btw :)

Hello Lilyth, please go to www. mikesbasictarantulas.com and read his care sheet on G. pulchra. Its just the basic care but Mike has a lot of experience in terrestrial species.
Grammastola species "are" slow growers, eat well, kick urticating hairs as a defense measure, docile for the most part and easy to care for. You seem to have a sling so moist, "just moist" substrate is what they need. Slings burrow, it makes them feel "safe", most will burrow next to the hide or wherever they make their minds to dig. You will rarely ever see a T drink from a water dish but "do" supply one in the enclosure.
This will get you on the right track of caring for your T.
Check the forums search engine for answers to questions you might have later. If not, ask on here, we're here to help those new to the hobby.
Welcome to the forum and happy T'ing.

No he won't choke himself when he burrows, the substrate only needs to be moist not wet or soggy so don't go over board with spraying it.....
