Just browsing this afternoon on my lunch and there is a brand new tarantula ad close to where I work. Two B. smithi and one B. albopilsum for sale for $80cdn. They guy needs them gone 'ASAP'. He has to move back in with his parents tomorrow and they can't go with him. He had snakes advertised as well. I hope he finds good homes for them and doesn't just take the first offer like he did with the tarantulas. Good thing I am a spider friend. I reply that I can pick them up tonight by 6:30pm, but I can only do $50. The two B. smithi are in very tall containers with very little substrate. They are modified tall fish tanks. The B. albo is in a small plastic shoebox type box. All three are around the 3" mark and he said he had them for about three years. I know that nobody wants to guess sex, but I couldn't help but take a few shots because both were on the sides of the tank near the top. I couldn't turn down the opportunity. I've never had any of the famous Brachy's with the red going on. They are very pretty. B. albopilosum Smaller of the two B. smithi The larger one.
