Hi, could any of you Ephebopus owners give a little insight into them please? Looking to get several spiderlings soon for the four species I have seen available, so any info on feeding response, wheather they burrow a lot, temperament etc. Would be much appreciated.

We have the 4 species available in the hobby and most of the time they are burrowed away, you will see them out but if you disturb the enclosure then they retreat ( don’t have adults yet but this is what we’ve observed for now).
they do eat well and growth rate I’d say is about medium. (Not as slow as NW terrestrials but not as fast as a pokie)

temperament wise I’ve never had a threat posture but like I say they would rather go back to their hide.

I raised a cyanognathus from a sling to a MM. his whole life cycle was about 4 years and he spent most of that underground until he hooked out and started to wander constantly. Very small as an adult too, basically a dwarf. Heavy webber and great feeder. Liked it a little more on the damp side. And those fangs, hubba hubba. Very fast during rehousing but was more likely to run and hide than put up a fight. One of the most beautiful tarantulas i’ve ever kept. You’ll like it. I’d get another but I don’t see them for sale too often here in the states anymore.
