This sound is made by rubbing their legs together. Australia has the  Selenocosmia cressapies, the barking, or whistling spider & the Theraphosa blondi, Goliath Birdeater can also do it & I think there a couple of others too. My large blondi can make a noise that can be heard from a few feet away. But my cressapies are both slings.</blockquote>
