I've had this little guy for a few days now, and his choice of hang out and his body language are making me worry a bit. I don't see any indication of pre-molt. I've put newly hatched B. lats in for him and watched, but I've seen no interest. I've put two in there before tonight, and they are gone by morning, but I haven't torn the cage apart looking for them either. I suppose they could be hiding.
I was afraid I was looking at the "death curl" that I've heard so much about, but never personally witnessed, so I misted his enclosure last night and over flowed the water bowl with a couple of 3cc syringes to dampen the substrate a bit more.
I've raised about a dozen slings over the years, but they were all Grammostola or Brachypelma. Now if there is a way to kill a Brachypelma or Grammostola sling, I haven't found it yet, but I'm aware that not all of them are that hardy. Please advise. Does this look bad, or am I worrying over nothing?

After zooming in and cropping this photo, I can see what looks like excrement and a dead roach near him. These would be good signs, right?
All the other species that came in the same shipment are doing fine, burrowing, and eating. This guy was well packed and all has appeared normal and good up to this point.
