- They are born and raised in a controlled environment.
- Exact age is known.
- Fed nutritious and pesticide free food.
- Less stress from being ripped out of habitat.
- Less chance of contact with predators.
- Less chance of exposure to disease such as viruses and bacteria.
- Less likely to be infected by parasites such as intestinal worms.
And lastly, you are not depleting the natural population which so many people complain about.
This is my opinion and you can agree or disagree but I will always consider CB first over WC.
Always get a captive bred spider if at all possible. Only 1 of mine is wild caught & she was in rough shape when I got her. Fortunately enough, my T stirmi molted into a beautiful female. She's still only half the adult size all the while easily being the largest tarantula I have.
