Sometimes tarantulas burrow for several reasons....not just to molt. I don't see any harm in rehousing it if you want to. Usually, if they're in premolt, sometimes a rehouse will help induce it. Especially if you mist the enclosure or increase the humidity in the soil. Just open the burrow and look at the spider. As long as it's not laying on its back, you can transfer it.
