Have always been fascinated by spiders, tarantulas, but was also freaked out by them. Last year my SIL had a solo Giant land snail incident and had to rehome some new babies. I warmed to the idea, though the sensory concept of their bodies freaked me out. I left with a snail. Sadly he was a runt and passed away after a few months (I'd suspected this would happen) and I took on two of his siblings. My original plan was to go bioactive, but when Frederick was housed with isopods their mancae kept using his shell for calcium instead of the cuttlebone. Isopods also used to bother me, again until I read up on them and learned about all the stuff they do, and the morphs.At that point I'd been tempted by a jumping spider several times. And kept seeing Ts advertised. So I dove in. Note that I have ADHD, so when I dive in...and animals are a 'special subject' and hyperfocus for me. And convinced myself to get some Ts, and a jumper when I found one. I now have...a number of Ts. Many slings, whose mature enclosure's size I've taken into account. I love seeing the ways each let's me know its feeding time (although I've stopped trusting the versicolor because it just wants to eat none stop).I'm now just feeling everyone out.
