Well..... it didnt turn out how I wanted but it was the best I could do with limited lockdown supplies. Will look better ( I hope) when I get real plants and it grows in a little!..... or I may donate it to the local primary school lol. At least it has the rear peep hole I planned

Hi looking good just one thing is there a water bowl in the enclosure
I have made one with a bowl and expanding foam. Same process.....just wating for it to dry. Then I will leave it a week before I put t in to make sure no fumes remain. I will plant with live plants when everywhere opens...... if I'm alive that is!

I like it. Was this project completed with your new expansion foam gun?

Yeah but new gun and foam so took some getting used to. Lot of air bubbles that I wouldn't normally get but I will get used to new gun soon. Took a lot longer than normal but I did it between building my new shed so....

I have some step by step pics. Just not put them on yet.

Call me lazy but lookin at what you did gave me an idea. You know those cheesy foam backgrounds that come with the Exo-Terra's? Do you think it would work if you coated it the coco fiber and moss the same way you coat the spray foam?

Yeah that would work. Only difference is mine is a little thinner and has deeper contours cut into it..... but you could also pretty easily do that too. At least it would save throwing the exo one away.

I like to do rock effect backgrounds but that includes mixing grout and using my airbrush. I'm away from home at the moment and dont have it with me unfortunately.

True. What's the worst that could happen? I throw it away and do it the right way? I have four blank Exo-Terras on hand, one can of foam, and a week off work with nowhere to go. Somehow the math isn't working out the way I planned.

I am off for at least another 10 weeks. I got lots of setups to make. Not sure how I will get them all in the truck when it comes to going home, although.... i may not go home to stay. I have another nice cork bark for my next one I will start tomorrow....

That is an impressive piece of bark. You can make a P. regalis jungle gym out of it. Lots of possibilities.

Funny you should bring that up. I was stressed out about leaving my T's alone for a week. Especially since my youngster regalis molted on Monday and was looking very very thin. Right now, he is chowing down on the cricket I tossed in for him. Much earlier than I would have liked to have fed him but I didn't want to leave him for so many days of not eating after a molt. All is well for now.

My adults are at home in my bug room. My brother feeds them and waters them. Slings and other bugs travel with me. Not easy carting them all around but I like to monitor them a bit more closely. I brought the two juvenile P's as I knew I would want to re house them.

Wanna suggest a easier, faster, less stinky method that I do to make my backgrounds.
I buy styrofoam insulation board for $30.00 for a 4'×8' sheet. You can buy then in different thicknesses...I buy the 2". You can easily cut it to size and sand or sculpt it. I used a palm sander and sand it to look like rock or bark. Paint on some children's white school glue and cover it with substrate, moss, or sand.

That's what I was looking for but when I went to buy it the guy said they only sell one type now. It's about 10mm thick. It's even harder now with limited supplies but..... keeps me busy I guess
