Hello so my aphonopelma chalcodes molted and hello male colours ,

so a quick question he now has his male colours , does that make him mature , or can he still be a sub adult just in male colours , many thanks

If you look closely you should see 2 hooks under his front legs.. Its now a MM now so you should look to send him off to a breeder if you can who can make use of him... Where did you buy him from as I presume you bought as sexed female? :)

The question I am really asking to anyone ,is when a tarantula gets it male colours is it always mature ? Or can it be a juvenile male in adult colours

and yes would love to ship him off to a breeding program

As far as I'm aware most male tarantulas only get there 'male' colours when they turn MM... Hense the general annoyance of purchasing a 'female' and then it moults once and becomes 'male' lol
