For those interested I came across another Polish site today that apart from some nice Ts at good prices, have some great terrariums at very reasonable prices.

I emailed him about shipping to the UK and this is what he said
" Yes we sending to UK by our courier company door to door. Is 100% safe and takes only 26 hours. Cost is15-20 pounds depend how big package is.
We can send all stuff together in one package of course with our guarantie"

I have placed an order with them for 6 new containers and an A. versicolor. The containers are 4no 4" cubes and 2no 8x8x12" arboreals. The way it works is that you pay the shop for the goods and the driver for delivery.

I forgot to say that they are due Saturday evening.
That sounds really interesting, LC72 had the same issue as you with sw eu, took 12 days to arrive, even though all were well. He also mentioned that they are stopping using royal mail and will use parcel force instead (even though they are owned by Royal Mail!). Please keep us posted as this could be a good alternative.

I'm intrigued, I'm guessing someone drives over using Eurostar but it seems like a long expensive way to do it. I won't complain though if it saves all that worry of them stuck in the post.

Must admit, got me thinking as surely they need a big order to the UK otherwise if it is just a few slings on order I can't see how that is a viable business model. Maybe they supply a lot to the UK and it works well. Is yours still due tomorrow? I like the look of some of their vivariums, preferl glass and they seem really cheap.

Yes, I had conformation that they're due tomorrow evening. I'm to wait for a phone call from the driver who is Polish so may have problems with English.
The containers were what I was attracted by so I'll post photos of them when they arrive as well as the A. versi of course.

Well, I got a phone call at 5pm to say my tarantula and containers will be here between 2-3am. It is now 10.40pm here and I'm getting so impatient

New arrival, Avicularia versicolor named Jazz (1st instar)

Exploring its new home this morning

The terrariums I bought are great quality, all glass and no sharp edges with a great design.

The 4" cubes have a ventilation strip across the back which is much thicker than that on ExoTerras,
less likely to be chewed and not so easy for a Ts foot to catch in. The lids are 2 layers of glass, one fitting inside the top edge of the container. No chance of a T pushing that off.

The 8"x8"x12" terrariums are a great design with ventilation strips on the front and top and an upward sliding door making maintenance of arboreals easy. They will take a good 2.5" of substrate without blocking theair vent.

Prices:-
A. versi - £6.00 ($8.40)
4" cube - £3.00 ($4.20) I bought 4
8"x8"x12" - £7.40 ($10.36) I bought 2
1" vials @ £0.06 ($0.08) I bought 10

My order came to £43.00 ($46.72) but I paid in Polish Zloty meaning I only paid £32.45. Add to that £20 for delivery (paid to the driver) and My haul only cost me £52.45.

Considering the price, quality, great communication and worry free delivery I will certainly use them again even though my son and I didn't get to bed until 5am.

That is a really useful post. Thank you. The containers leek really well designed and for that price, can go wrong. Did you use paypal for the order and the handed cash over for delivery then or was all that included? Versicolor looks cute and healthy. Overall I suspect you are really pleased ☺

I paid using PayPal as I wanted to pay in Zloty because it works out cheaper, but I had to email him as the site doesn't ask for delivery address or payment, he will take bank transfer too and you only pay him for the goods. The driver just takes the cash for his part. The driver rang me twice, the first time around 5pm to let me know roughly what time he'd be here and then again 15 minutes before he arrived.

Yes, I'm thrilled. Soon the fun will start rehousing my P. reduncus and L. sp. Borneo Black into the 8"x8"x12" then 4 others into 4" cubes and the A. laerta in to one of the smaller arboreal tubs vacated by the P. reduncus.
