I purchased a 3" or so A. divercipes the day before Memorial Day (5/24) and it ended up in it's current habitat a few days later, on Weds the 27th or so. It's in a home made plexiglass cage modeled after Jamie's cages-- it's 18" tall, 10x10 square, with a plexi door in the middle, and vent holes drilled on two sides. I have a number of silk plants in there, and the spider has created a web near the top between the side and a leaf. Looks snug. My question is, should I be expect it to come out of the web occasionally and eat yet? So far it's refused food (I even put a cricket at the opening to it's web last night, and the cricket hung out with the spider for a while-- no eating, cricket's fine today). I've been in the critter room at all hours to check and it's never out. I know they're shy and more delicate than terrestrials, so I'm not too concerned yet. I just want to know when I should start worrying. There's about 2" of slightly damp coconut bedding in the bottom (hasn't totally dried out yet), a 4" water bowl (Target creme brulee bowl :) ). The room it's in is between 75 and 80, controlled with an a/c and space heater to keep it there. The curlyhair I bought at the same time is an eating machine, but also not high strung at all. Any advice? The spider looks fine from what I can see through the webbing on the side, but can't see details because of the webbing. In the pic I had just misted lightly near it's web to make sure it has access to moisture. This is the first time I've done so. I'm hoping she'll suck some up so she doesn't get dehydrated. Thanks for reading! -Chris
