Hi everyone, just wanted to share some news about my weekend with some wonderful people and some rescue missions. It's a bit long so sorry about that....LOL. Saturday: Delivered a mystery box to a customer who lives about 2 and half hours from me (I didnt mind as had plans later...which I will get to) Also went to see someone selling her collection. The spiders listed were not actually whatever had and they were in awful conditions. I had to walk away but having spoken to @T-Baby who I was meeting later, we both decided that it was now a mercy mission and so I managed to rescue them. I then packed up the spiders and had another 3 and a half hours on the road to stay at a Hotel before the Invictus Invertebrate show. For those members who remember my "what makes this forum great" post, @Rs50matt had to move on his collection and @T-Baby stepped in to take collection of all his spiders and between us, we were able to give them new homes. I would have hated to be the cleaner that nipped in to the bedrooms thinking tjey could give them a quick clean and be presented with bedrooms full of tarantulas....LOL Sunday: After moving all the Ts into a heated room (Thanks to Ashford International hotel for that). T-baby and some of her friends, along with myself visited the Invictus show which had some of the main UK as well as European breeders/ suppliers in attendance. Long story short, to add to the 30 odd spiders already in the heated room from Saturday, I also added another 16 from the show so when I left to start my 6 hour road trip back home, the car was pretty full...LOL. Highlights: Met T-baby who is a wonderful and beautiful lady who has been a really good friend for a number of months now Finally managed to collect the Ts that Rs50Matt and I had agreed to take. They are lovely spiders and massive thanks to T-baby for taking such great care of them Rescued some Ts from what would have been a sad existence. Bought some new stock for sales, keeping and breeding projects I have planned Met some new people and had my first experience of the Invictus show. Next show planned..... BTS in May...bring it on!!!!
