1st time breeding question

So I attempted my first tarantula breeding with my salmon pink birdeater and I think it went well my female responded straight away and they got down to business as soon as I put the male in I witnessed 1 insertion with one pedipalp then the female was on her back and they just split and went there separate ways. So I tryed again the next night and the female didn't want to know so my question is would the 1 insertion of been a successful one.

Hi the male I have no clue when he matured but he is still eating well and the female only moulted 1 month ago

I heard one insertion is more then enough but people love to make sure by doing it multiple time.I would try again a couple days later and see if the female response the same if so she might be good but you never know

I think if the male hasn't been used in mating then the female has not passed 6 months from her last molt then 1 insertion is fine. I'd give it a 80% chance

If the mating was successful how long until she starts laying eggs

It's been a while since I breed this species but if I remember correctly your looking at about 3-4 months or so before she'll drop a sac.
Hope everything goes well for you and it was a successful mating,just remember to have plenty of sling pots ready as these have huge sacs lol....,,
