I haven't lost a MM, but I've had two that have gotten out (one the dog let out, the other I left the lid unlocked)
Both were found in the same place, behind a cupboard.
He will probably look for somewhere dark and snug to hide in.
I'm on the fence about informing the neighbours. I'd tell mine...
Just an update.
I tried to feed him, but his fangs seemed to also be in the wrong position, like buck-toothed rather than back against his mouth. I don't know if it effect his eating but he didn't want to know.
He passed away a couple of days later.
I wouldn't worry, the molt will dry out.
I wouldn't dig out the molt if he molts underground, you'll just stress him out. I usually like to grab them if they are accessable, to add to my skin bin, but sometimes they are too awkward to read or buried in webbing. They will eventually drag it out...

Basically, you need to clean out the abodomen, turn him onto his back, make as small a slit as possible & use q-tips to clean out the gunk. Then roll up tiny balls of tissue paper...
Petco at The Dark Den uses something similar, I'm not sure what the brand is, but the one he uses is safe.
He always airs out a bit as well before introducing a T
Sometimes they just kick hairs off.
I had one who kicked all the hair off his abdomen, his butt was like a bald mans head.
I wouldn’t worry about it. At least it makes it easier to see when a molt is due, as the skin will darken
