I just recently got a 14 gallon tank myself, it's a cube tank without a frame. Which means it's all glass no plastic. Very nice to have a larger tank to work with, just in my opinion. Good luck!

Naming Tarantulas is part of the fun, I have a Female King Baboon Tarantula named Fluffy, I have 2 GBB 's named Lady Blue legs and Lady Green Body.. I have an adult female Pumpkin patch named Styx..... The names in my opinion are part of the excitement of keeping them.
I literally just bought 2 of the same exact enclosures yesterday. Perfect for my 1 1/2 inch GBB slings. I have 2 little GBB 's. These should be good for most of their lives, but time will tell. Good luck with your Tarantula.

How old does an adult female have to be in order to be paired? I have an adult Male and Female, she's 6yrs old now, is that old enough to mate? Are there any signs to look for to tell if she is?
The H. gigas is from Africa as well as others of the same species, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that this particular tarantula has noticeably larger back legs and in elongated abdomen, the other tarantulas in this species mostly have a rounded abdomen and all legs are the same...
