1.5" b. hamorii sticking near water dish most of the time

My hamori loves being ALL over her enclosure I put toys and ping pong balls in and she likes to move them around. Give her something to do they like to redecorate and when you put fresh water in they make “tarantula soup” by adding substrate. They really are a very cool species

Is this too much humidity for a B. Hamorii / Mexican Redknee?

My redknee has a big low profile enclosure she likes to decorate and walk all around. She definitely loves all the space she has. Also she has a big water dish where she positions herself on top to drink.

I can't find the remaining insect carcasses.

Tarantulas eat the entire bug especially crickets they have back teeth and crunch them right up. I never find anything an occasional back leg of a cricket.

She doesn't burrow at all. I mean she sits close to where the heater is. She is not much of a borrower She likes her hide and her rock

    Heating Pads or Overhead heating?

It must really depend upon what breed you have because my because my room is really cold with the air conditioning and I get conditioning and I give my girl an under tank heater and she is drawn to it. I have a brachapelma hamori so I am sure that she being a desert spider is probably more...
