Might be getting a second tarantula... thoughts on Homoeomma?

Well haven’t heard back, and the ad is gone. So much for that, I guess.

Might be getting a second tarantula... thoughts on Homoeomma?

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve heard they’re a little feistier than their Chilean flame counterparts. Yeah, I asked for photos and haven’t gotten a response. My current T was also a craigslist adoption - taken in by a former pet store employee after being surrendered at the shop. Once he changed...

Might be getting a second tarantula... thoughts on Homoeomma?

Yeah I definitely asked about the age and for photos - I wasn’t sure if 3” was the average max, but figured it was close enough and it may be more of a “senior” than “established.”

Might be getting a second tarantula... thoughts on Homoeomma?

Hello! It seems I've held out for a very long time with just the one T (A. Seemanni), but I found a Homoeomma sp. blue Peruvian on craigslist and emailed the seller with a few questions. I hadn't planned on getting a second T but have always been enamored with the dwarf species and ... well you...

What a lil chonk! I need to fatten mine up for real.

    Keeping Crickets.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one whose T seems genuinely confused by roaches! I'm beginning to think she's teamed up with my cat who has no teeth and has just started refusing wet food in favor of dry.

    Is she dead??

Here's pics of her panic-inducing molt position. What a little freak :T:

    Is she dead??

Yay! Glad to hear. Mine had me freaking out for HOURS until she actually starting molting.

    Opinions needed please!

I’ve got a zebra knee (A Seemanni) and she seems to be out and about more than what I hear is average. Sure she spends some time under her hide, but is just as likely to be on top of it, climbing the glass, or pushing substrate into her water....

    Is she dead??

Hard to tell, but it doesn’t look like a full on death curl. My A. seemanni molted in a very strange position this summer and it was her first molt in my care (after 1.5 yrs) and my first molt ever, so nervewracking to say the least! Hope your T is ok, and keep us updated!

    Molting or ... dying?! Help!

She’s looking good and appears healthy! And she’s HUGE! I’m going to have to get her a new hide.

    Molting or ... dying?! Help!

She did! Her new color is this deep slate gray-blue, almost black. I haven't been able to get a pic yet that really does it justice. I'm so relieved. I was so freaked out because she wasn't on her back, I thought for sure she was dying. In hindsight, she's a bit of a weirdo so I shouldn't be...
