I'm curious about this species. A local shop has one for sale and I've never seen or even heard of this species before. Does anyone have this species of Tarantula? What's your experience like with general maintenance, feeding, rehousing etc? I can not find much information about them but I know...
Yeah I've been doing half and half on my ones that require more humidity. That way they can have it either way. But since I got her she's always stayed on the drier side except to go to her water bowl so that's what made me worry with her being head first in the substrate on the damp side.
Oh okay. I've never seen one do it like that before lol. She has burrows under her hide on the other side of her enclosure. Maybe she's favoring the slightly damp side more for the time being? Thank you.
I know that all tarantulas have their own personalities and attitudes. However can anyone explain what my pulchra is doing? Is this normal or is this just her quirk? Should I be concerned?
She's very protective over it right now. When I went to check her this morning she tucked it further under her like I was gonna take it. Thank you. I'll pull it in a month if she doesn't eat it and see what happens.
Well this would be my first time ever dealing with a sac, but I just want the babies to live and go to good homes. I thought about breeding later on, but I guess I'm gonna get a glimpse into that life now lol
Which is the better option of the first two? Is it better for her to hatch them of it is viable or is it better to pull and incubate? And thank you I was both shocked and excited when I saw it lol.
So yesterday morning my sweet little T. Albopilosus was weaving a very thick web. I thought she's just making her burrow more secure and went on with my day. I come home later and she's torn down all the webbing and made what looks like an egg sac and is now guarding it like her life depends on...
My Lasiodora Parahybana sling molted 5 days ago. When is she able to be fed? I don't want to feed too soon, but she acts like she's starving to death. She's been wandering her enclosure all day, and when I filled her water bowl she pounced at it like she does her prey. Keep in mind though she is...
