I am a new, first-time tarantula owner. My family and I have kept other terrarium pets in the past and currently have 2 snakes (my youngest son's), a bearded dragon (my oldest son's), and a darkling beetle (my wife's).

I love arachnids and my youngest son gave me a Costa Rican Striped Knee (Aphonopelma seemanni) for my upcoming 43rd birthday. I am excited about the experience and am looking forward to having a community of fellow keepers to confer with.
