just an update. My hand didn't fall off. My little spider has got a bit bigger and is always hungry. So seems to be doing quite well Just ordered a few other slings, a blue fang and a white curly bracky

hi yes I tried but the spider had seemed to wreck most of the pieces, maybe removing it from it's den.

Hi my GBB has just moulted and is looking fine. With the spindly legs and small abdomen, I think it's a male?

Well I was a bit sill and put my hand near the small spiderling, it's about 2cm leg to leg and got a small bite. It was sooo fast! I can see two very small puncture holes in my skin on my finger. It's not sore but I can feel a little rough spot. Hopefully my finger won't fall off;)

hi thanks for the reply. Mine has now dug lots of trenches and tunnels. I think it's getting bigger, which is good. My main issue is trying to keep the mini crickets alive. A couple of days and they're toast. I think they are getting dehydrated, so will try and re house in a bigger container...

Thanks for the heat mat advice. The spider is now off the mat and has been digging like crazy. I must get a small hide for it.

They are a fantastic animal and I especially love the GBB's. Fantastic water and will sit and wait for food to drop by. My flame knee is pretty lazy and will tolerate crickets hopping around her.
