Yeah... Pet Shops said many things about tarantula care I have discovered to be false. I hope your pad is at least only on one side of the tank- should it be too hot... then she can move away from it! You may be better off never plugging it in -and just affix a new one to the side.
Here's Mr President after the first molt in our home!
Pet shop claims her a Grammostola sp. "Maule" Chilie (Chilean Gold Fluff)
Others have pinned her as a "Concepcion"...
So... pretty and dark with striking markings! We love her!!! Check out the pre-molt/post molt shot!
I have read many places to leave crickets in the tank, just over night- and if they are not eaten by the next day then the T isn't interested and to remove them...
I dropped 2 Crickets in yesterday afternoon- T ate one right away, and now the following day there is 1 still around... my tank is...
Thank you! I was lifting the main molt away with little plastic tongs, and I attempted to lift this part too, as I thought it was just sitting on top of him- I stopped as soon as I realized it was attached- I hope I didn't hurt him!
Mr.P has molted over the past 2 days- He has been free and resting from his old endo for over 24 hours, but still has a bit hanging off the back of him.
Is there something I should do?

Came across this website-
They are very pricey- but I've only got one little friend to show off, and I think thses are very nice, and safe. Does anyone have one, or perhaps seen one in person?

She's the one you see in my profile pic. We have her pinned as a 'G. Concepcion' -will know more clearly after a molt, but its lookin pretty sure on all other fronts. 'Her' name is Mr. President. (We got her on election day)
