I had always had a fascination with spiders, but it was a scary kind of appeal. Enjoyed viewing them in nature, but there was there was this lingering fear I had. Back in 2007, I decided to conquer my phobia and bought a Chilean rose hair. This turned out to be a good decision for me, but it took a while to work up the courage to handle one. One day I decided to attempt to handle mine and it was so exciting, yet scary. As time when by, I got more comfortable interacting with it. Love watching it move about the enclosure and stalk its prey. Had this little guy for about year and half, but had to give it away because I was moving out of state.
After that, I went years without thinking about getting another. Was on YouTube and saw an individual who had an L.P. I was blown away about how big this species was. Did a lot of research and decided to purchase a spiderling. It's been so cool to see it get bigger and bigger over the last 6 months.
I love doing research about this creatures and hopefully will one day have a bigger collection. Ben
