Mystery Tarantula found in Bahia, Brazil

Very cool pictures and this site may help. They helped me identify some larvae I had macro shots of and it only took a few days for a reply. http://www.whatsthatbug.com/

How fast do different Tarantula breeds move?

I am kind of curious on this aspect. Chilean Rose seems to be the winner for a beginner Tarantula as it is said to be pretty docile and not move so fast. Although, I'm reading that they can shoot the urticating hairs at you and it can be painful?? I'm curious on these aspects because even...

40 Gallon Breeder Aquarium for Tarantula?

It would be kind of like a old Godzilla movie but with a Tarantula if I go for the ghost town look.

40 Gallon Breeder Aquarium for Tarantula?

Okay more idea's on how I want my tank to progressively look. Sand, spineless cacti, a small tumble weed or two.. and if I can get a dremel tool and some old wood.. make a minature ghost like town for the back wall just as a fun cosmetic thing.. now if I could manage to get a small cowboy hat...

what all have you fed your spiders?

Now see that.. hmm I don't know I think I would of kept the reptile as a pet ;) .. Although.. in my experience with Aquariums.. specifically Cichlids.. i'm kind of brutal.. if there was a bully in the tank I would throw him in my 300 gallon setup with the Ornate Bichir and teach them a good...

    Mail ordering supplies

I don't want to wait so long to get one but it appears in my area May 11, 2013 they have a Reptile expo with alot of tarantula type vendors. I'm sure if I dig in and do some more research I will find some local breeder or something of the like. I just honestly don't want to get one at a big...

Post a photo of your tarantula enclosure as it is NOW!

There is a small trick I learned with my aquariums and that is to put the lense of the camera right up against the glass so the flash doesn't wash out a picture. Another trick is if you have a old white tshirt make a small cover with the material over your flash so it doesn't glare so badly...

    Mail ordering supplies

Being disabled alot of my supplies will be coming via mail order. I am curious what some of you consider as reputable sites. Also, have a question on some of the stuff I have seen online.. you can actually order a Tant. Via mail?? .. I would assume this would stress it out to no ends...

    First timers

Being a lifetime Washington state (Western) resident I can tell you our Humidity usually ranges from a low of 50% to typical high 85% during long hot streaks in our summers to typical 100% and even higher in our winters. If you are in Eastern Washington then that would be another matter.
