I'm sorry for your loss, I know it can be devastating. She lived for 25 years though and that is a hell of a long time. You guys obviously did something right. Even if the wood chips weren't the best substrate for her, I don't think that had anything to do with it...she would have perished long...
Has she ever molted right side up like that before? Also, how long has she been like this with only her carapace shedded? I know larger Ts take longer to molt, but if it's been more than a day she should have made more progress.
Absolutely stunning Ts. I was in desperate need of one a couple months back. I bought a male E. murinus from Casey on here :) He eats great and he comes out of his burrow every evening to flaunt his sexy legs. They can be pretty defensive and fast though.
You dont know how happy I am to hear that! I just bought one from somebody yesterday & it ended up falling through and got refunded. My son was devastated. He is in love with this species (so am I) and we've been looking for one for a long time. I will definitely take it!
I'm looking for a juvi-adult E. murinus. Preferably female. I know these Ts are hard to come by in the US right now. Please contact me on here or through gmail @ [email protected] if willing to sell.
You're very welcome. I too was incredibly nervous about having a Tarantula that needs more care, but watching videos online has helped me tremendously as well as these tarantula forums.
