    Check out our Venezuelan Suntigers!

Females growing slower would explain it! Thank you, I’ve been wondering about this.. Even more fascinated now. They are in separate terrariums, so I don’t think he’ll react to her?

    Check out our Venezuelan Suntigers!

After months (MONTHS) of one of them hiding 24/7, they are now both out most days. If it hadn’t been for the occasional sign of molting, we would have guessed one of them died. And check it out: one of them turns out to be a male! We are ecstatic to finally see them both. Question though: the...

Cleaning glass in an enclosure with a P. Irminia

I’m becoming more and more certain that I’ll NOT clean the inside of their enclosure. They are crazy fast, one of them tries to say hi every time I add some water.

Cleaning glass in an enclosure with a P. Irminia

Another year to see if they are indeed female, and if not they’ll probably change color before that. Thank you. I wouldn’t clean it either, I just wondered if anyone had a way I didn’t think of. Our water has a lot of lime, so it is starting to turn a little white. I’ll avoid cleaning them...

Cleaning glass in an enclosure with a P. Irminia

Hi! I have two beautiful P. Irminia, and they appear to be doing well. As this forum has given good advice before, and I feel a lot of websites appear outdated, I have two questions: 1) They are fast. Very fast. I mist them every once in a while, and the glass on the inside of the enclose gets...

    Who's molted today

    Extended belly?

Thank you for clarifying, and for supplying additional information. I always try reading more about these spiders, and have been since I posted this too. My conclusion has been that their enclosures have probably been too dry, I am currently trying to rectify this in ways I see recommended by...

    Extended belly?

Thank you This is a picture of my other P. Irminia (today is the first time it’s shown itself like this for a couple of months), the difference might explain my doubts.

    Extended belly?

Thank you for your answer, I conclude that my spider is as healthy as its neighbor. I have done extensive reading on tarantulas and the specific kind I have. The reason I asked was because the belly seemed too large, and a few of the videos and websites I’ve seen (from channels and pages...

    Extended belly?

I am worried about one of my Venezuelan Suntigers. I have two at the same age, and they are not fully grown. One looks “normal”, the other has a different color stomach that seems very extended. Can someone tell me if I should be worried or not? And, if possible, what I can do? It is hiding...

    Changing terrariums

This one has mesh on top, I can’t use a terrarium with mesh on top with my spiders. They’ll hurt themselves. When adding the new custom lids (I’ll have to buy two), it gets complicated..

    Changing terrariums

Thank you for the tip, I will look for it :)

    Changing terrariums

I suppose we could look for a size in between these two. Buying the nano tall, and then new tops again + all content will take a long time (+things are very expensive in Norway). Thank you for answering, I will find something that is in between the two in size

    Changing terrariums

I have two Venezuelan Suntigers that currently live in what I like to call “temporary housing”. (Something medium sized so they have room to move without drowning.) My “grown up”-terrariums is the Exo Terra Mini Tall. I have changed the tops, put in plenty of substrate and more than a few hiding...

    Rehousing my tarantula

I’ll find some water bowls, sounds like that is the better choice. My spiders can, as of now, hide behind a large root and behind their fake plant. I’ll buy some bark to build a third one, hopefully that’ll do. Thank you.
