As you can see she's a bit of a kicker but a sweetie really. I love her to bits.

    Charlotte

Yes, I am still missing Charlotte but I think Carmen is going to be a nice natured T. She doesn't mind me putting my hand in and I've only had her since Tuesday. I've got my eye on a nice Brazilian black. Might treat myself.

    Charlotte

Thanks. I'm really missing her. She was such a docile, friendly T. Hope the new one turns out as nice.

    Charlotte

Thanks. I think she will be very pretty after a few moults when the pink colour will be stronger. She's in a bad mood at the moment with being moved about but she'll settle down after a couple of days. I will have to remember it's not Charlotte when I put my hand in or might get bitten...

    Charlotte

Sadly, last Friday my lovely Charlotte died due to moulting difficulties. She was only 12 so I've been quite upset about it. Here is a pic of my new baby Mexican pink called Carmen that I've bought today.

    Charlotte

Charlotte tucking into a cricket. She's completely back to normal now after fixing her crossed fangs by soaking them in the water bowl over a period of time. I'm still amazed how she knew to do this.

What kind of tricks can your pet Tarantula do?

Yes, I do think they know the difference even though they don't see too good. It continually amazes me how they have this ability to to distinguish this. Even though their eyesight is poor compared to ours, I know she watches me when when she at the front of the tank.

What kind of tricks can your pet Tarantula do?

Yes, I have to treat Charlotte with great respect. She is quite moody and I have to judge this before I attempt to approach her. Most times time is docile and friendly but on odd occasions she waves her front legs at me and I know to leaver her be. I'm the only one she lets in her tank. My...

    Charlotte

This was Charlotte last year before her traumatic moult looking a bit tatty and faded. Compare her to the profile pic, post moult where her colours are vibrant. It's a pity they have to fade over time.

What kind of tricks can your pet Tarantula do?

Charlotte is 11 years old and I've had her for 6 years. I took her in when the previous owner didn't want her. After watching her over the years and the things she does I certainly see spiders in a different light. I definitely think they have some form of intelligence.
