Also please don't think that I'm arguing with you. This is just what I've been told and observed and it seems like people here have no issue with them.
I'll take what you said under consideration. All I'll mention is that the person I got them from is someone I know and they have them in the same room as the rest of their inverts and they have never had a problem. But when it comes to handling, feeding etc I always wash my hands to avoid...
Just for context I got them from a good captive breeder with a good reputation and their snails haven't shown the issues other captive species get. Plus they aren't considered an invasive species in the UK due to our climate.
Hiya, usually give my African Land Snails dead mealworms as instructed via care sheet as part of their diet. I was thinking, I breed Dubai roaches for the Tarantulas and every so often a male will die. Can I feed them to the snails as well?
Well actually I'm putting something together that will be a moderate to high humidity habitat. Would anyone have any suggestions for an arboreal species that would do well in higher humidity?
Thanks, will try some of those suggestions. I also tried putting talc around the rim and top third of the tub so they wouldn't be able to climb it. That doesn't work lol
I did try that, guess I could get a much larger box so they have more ground to cover before getting to the side. In this case I took the lid off and the spiderling launched itself across the box and onto the floor.
Well I'm not new to tarantulas and other spiders, have been keeping them for a while but I usually shy away from slings due to having bad eyesight.
I've been getting along well with a few I was given, but recently I was transferring one to a new enclosure and it decided to vault over everything...
