You could be describing my LP (transparent, microscopic). Finally moulted yesterday, but everyday it lived in fear of the giant nose (mine) bearing down on the enclosure to be replaced by a giant eye, casting about looking for it! No wonder it took ages to moult, probably traumatized it!
