Since this photo was taken, the T has drank lots of water, expanding the abdomen to being larger than the carapace. The T is still stretching itself out, three weeks after molting, so I'm thinking maybe the exoskeleton still hasn't hardened, nor has it attained it's final coloration.
I've had my two roaches long enough to see them go through molting to! I look forward to seeing a fluttering of legs and hearing that crunch. The other day was the first time I've seen the T drink from the water dish, but going through a molt was a strenuous thing to. That light color in the lower half of the carapace has now reached the eyes.
