I love these things! I used to play with them when I was a kid...keep them as pets for a few days and then release them. I only caught them by chance. I have had a couple that were in the stage where they don't have wings and were caught crawling up the tree....i have seen exoskeletons stuck to trees or power poles in Texas where I'm from. When they have wings they're difficult to catch....even when they're at a height you can reach them at....as soon as they see something approaching them they fly away. I was very intrigued by them. I hear them singing in the trees usually in July/August.
