I'm very jealous @Phil I wanted one of these...but I did get a Brachypelma epicuranum sling to add to my collection of brachys...im not that far behind you!
@Phil But that’s not giving him the info about the huge import effort made by thespidershop and the CITES information. You missed a chance for maximum windup. Incidentally, I bought two of these, one of which dropped dead the day after it arrived. They come all the way from Mexico and get killed by a short trip in Wales.
@MrKrowe that's a shame pal I got 3 but one had decided to try and moult and was also DOA. The Spidershop are sorting for me though. They (The spidershop) seem to be giving some of the European suppliers a run for their money now which can only be a good thing for us in the UK. I was talking to Sam in The Spidershop when I informed him of the DOA and he was telling me about some other exciting species they are hoping to get in the next 4 to 6 weeks so if you are not already registered and on their mailing list, my advice is to get on it
BTW, the CITES info does not yet apply to the sp. Tortuguero as they have not officially been recognised as a new species yet. So a bit of a gamble as the scientistsmay just say it is a shiny vagans!
The CITES does however apply to the other Brachypelma species they imported through true blood lines and like you say, their website and other material issued, explains the effort they went through.
