Preserving Molts

When you collect one of your molts, after you shape it to dry, do you use anything on it to preserve it? To display it in?

I just put the molts I save in a box, I don't really do anything else.

You can stuff the abdomen with cotton and glue it back together. Large ones are nice for shadow boxes. Heres one I'm currently working on.

I like to save them for reference of size. I am starting a shadow box for my P. Ritatta. Starting from small, all the way to adult size. Just to show the growth from one stage to another. Itll be so awesome when it’s done! Aren’t we all a little weird to begin with? Haha

I have been using an acrylic artwork dry spray, it’s typically used to preserve artwork and paintings, but it provides a fantastic gloss, and a protective coating too. Cheap, can get it anywhere they have crafts. I never thought of hairspray! I’m sure that works wonders!
