My grammostola pulchra barricaded itself

Hi I'm new to the tarantula hobby my grammostola pulchra barricaded itself in its hide today he/she is about 3 1/2 in approximately I feed it 3 large cricket every 7 days and he/she molted in August any reason why he/she barricaded herself in the hide

Shes probably starting premolt. This is her way of saying leave me alone.

That's about right for a spider that size. It may stay in its burrow another month or so. Just keep a water dish full for it.
