Hi all,
Just a update on my T family, what was supposed to be one has now turned into 5 .
When I started on this forum, I was bedazzled by the amount of tarantulas people had, I told myself "I'll only have the one" and now here I am,HOOKED!!! These guys are amazing and it is so true that each spider is individual, I absolutely love these guys BUT RESPECT THEM like I do my mrs !
Lector (b.smithi)
My first and favourite! Never flicked and never put up a threat pose as of yet! He's just successfully had his first molt in my care! That was amazing to watch!
Betty (b.albipolosum)
It was a gent on here who recommended me to the smithi and I owe him for the advice But this t also was on the best beginner list! I've only heard amazing things about this species so I took the plunge and got her.! Well, Betty is, in a word, angry!!! She great to watch, my best eater, but my god she is very uptight! She will attack everything and anything! I swear she death rolls locust even the paintbrush got it! But we leave her be and she seems more than happy!
Fred (b. Boehmi)
This T makes me smile, he's beautiful! He's always out infact he's never been in his hide! He is a great eater! But he is quick, like mega quick!! Transferring him was very interesting!! Filling up his water bowl is also very amusing! I swear he follows you round the tank! He's never flicked hair and I've not had any pose from him! He seems to be so full of life, can't wait to see how he turns out after a molt!
Ozzy (euathulus sp red)
This T was the reason I got into tarantulas in the first place! But I got lucky as I got him this size and they are always so tiny and slow to grow! And he is everything I thought he would be! Gentle, docile, lovely looking! The only down side to ozzy is he's not the best eate!
Pedro (euathulus sp red)
I've always said "why do people have more than one of the same t?" And now I no, when your hooked your hooked, and pedro is pretty much as perfect as ozzy apart from being slightly bigger and a little quicker!
I'm now thinking of getting a chile cooper, but we will have to see! I have a garage full of tanks, fake plants, hides and substrate, this hobby escalates quickly, but everyone says this and it's fact! Haven't been on for a while and had to share the new editions
