Cleaning T enclosure

Could I temporarily cover both exists of my T’s log while she’s in it and I’m cleaning?

My updating my T’s enclosure a little bit adding plants and spot cleaning. I don’t want to take her out of the enclosure and am wondering if covering both “exists” of the log while she’s in it and I’m cleaning would be okay or a bad idea? Thanks in advance

Of the option given, it is probably better to gently remove her, as that should cause her less stress. Or less stress than trying to trap her under her bark & then working in the enclosure.

But what species is she? And what is her temperament like? As for most species, they would choose to stay under the bark, either that or come out & threat posture. Very few T's would choose to instantly take on your hand, without fair warning, or not unless you were handling them & they felt in danger.

Normally for spot cleaning I place the enclosure in a large storage tote (just in case) and just clean it quick and put it back. Seems like catching and cupping or trapping in a hide would be overly stressful. Other than a couple over zealous slings all my T's tend to hide when I do maintenance cleaning and then come back out once done.
