No such thing as brocklehursti. They're genics. And thats not a genic. To be honest it looks very Lp to me.

Yeah I just came back to look again, thats an Lp. 100% Looks exactly like my big girl. So, correction, Lasiodora, 100%, most likely parahybana, possibly dificilis.

I'm with @KezyGLA ....I had a old brown A. Seemanni that looked like that from the front. Need some other pics to be sure it a L.P.

Just a guess, but here's your spider. It's probably an Acanoscurria, but the species is muscula not geniculata.
It's hard to guess from a pic of course but I give it an 55% chance of being A muscola.
A Lasiodora will hit prey items like a freight train. Acanoscurria will hit it like one at full speed. Both will attack water as it's poured into the dish and feeding tongs.
Lasiodora species are calm but not handleable because they think everything is food, including your fingers.
Neither burrows much. Both groups are totally awesome. Acanoscurria get big. Lasiodora gets even bigger but is probably a bit calmer.

Gotta disagree, not the same spider. That's an Lp. The musculosa isn't even close.

I knew when I clicked on this post we would have the brocklehursti/genic dispute lol he's right though, it would be genic and I agree it's gotta be a Lasiodora of some sort.
