Yes, in the picture above, if you switch the green/blue for purple, that would be correct. I did some research, and she is most likely A. Urticans (Peru purple). I found a pic online that looks exactly like her :) I will try to take a couple more pics of her today, but for now...

Martin suggested that I post in here. This is Samara (aka Princess Fancy Pants). I bought her labeled as A. Avicularia, but knew that she was def. mislabeled due to her coloring.....with a little help from a few experts, it seems that my very first T is an A. Urticans :)

Legs: dark purple
Carapace: Kind of a turquoise/aqua color
abdomen: Hair is definitely pink/purple, not red.
DLS: 3.5"

You know, she was sold to me as an A. Avicularia (petsmart..sigh), but she is so colorful, I was wondering this myself. One of the main reasons I couldn't resist buying her.
I fell in love with my A. Avicularia, Samara while I was in Petsmart buying frozen mice for my Ball Python. Same conditions as mentioned above, she was in a tiny Kritter Keeper, with a nasty sponge water dish :(

I am new to Tarantulas. I just got my Pink Toe yesterday :) I'm not sure on age or sex.
He/she just ate 2 crickets earlier today, which is awesome. I also keep Ball Pythons, and they are super finicky eaters, so it was nice to have him/her eating from day 1 :)
