Yes, these guys seem to be very generous with their hairs. My two B. smithi flick hairs the moment you even look at them. They flick hairs at their crickets even!
The hairs affect me horribly... more than any other tarantula that I have ever had. I have purchased a box of those disposable latex gloves and I always use them when I am doing anything in their enclosure.
@VanessaS Luckily for me, I'm more resistant with harmful things (Ts' hairs, some venom, sea creatures' poison, even medicines and etc...) even when my B.boehmei flicks hair to my hands I don't feel any discomfort...
If I could share this pros of the antibodies of mine, you may handle your Ts with out worries...
