A avic, Urchin
@Shampain nope, dry sub plenty of web points and a big bowl of water, WELL ventilated, I occasionally drip a few drops on her webbing, maybe twice a month, this one came to me nearly dead and badly dehydrated, took her home, she was all balled up, abdomen wrinkled and nearly dead, she spent the entire night on her back in my hand, me in tears (its a girl thing) dripping her single drops of water all damn night, shes nice now, (other then being a picky eater,) But shes slowly improving, im quite proud that she took her first dubia in that picture :D She also makes good use of her water dish, is always visable and has NEVER shot poop. Her only faults are she likes to be tong fed (my fault) and she will stroll out of her enclosure when Im window washing lol

lets face it hun, NOTHING beats an avic, just the way they move, like they are floating, steals my heart, I lost my versi, (bad molt) but Urchin and my Kodama., (think its an A avic, another rescue) anyway, they are kept the same and doing well.

its simple honey, stuffy enclosures kill avics, nearly every damn care-sheet out there is WRONG ~!!
Frustrates me so bad, I see so many 'lost my avic posts' they almost always were trying to keep them humid, when your ready, remember, full water dish, lots of cross ventilation, web spots to feel secure and your golden. Folks kill them with kindness because the idiots insist on saying they need xx humidity. BS. I drop a bit of moss in all my sling containers and drip a few drops of water on it for them when they are under an inch, just for a little additional moisture. otherwise they do fine with a full dish.

Edit. :
The Moss is in addition to their dish. I have used plastic leafs for water with my tiniest ones.

@Shampain I too lost my first avic but decided to try again if only to prove it wasn't my fault it died, it was a bad moult but I still blamed myself. Avic numbers 2 and 3, laerta and versi, are both doing fine so please don't leave it too long before you get another. Follow @Kymura's info and you won't go wrong.

@Shampain I have to mentally switch that, so it's about .75 inches, 32 might be a little large. Have you got a 16? Want to make sure it can find its food. I have 3 little pokie babies about that size, roughly. Sooo cute! (P regalis) mine are in those small card boxes set on their side for arboreal and they have plenty of room.
Got mine from Thistles and actually have pictures of them just fresh hatched. :)

@Shampain any plastic jar that food came in, just scrub it up and ventilate. Can't tell you the number of slings that I housed in a peanut butter jar :p
