Last week a buddy of mine brought over a wolf spider thinking it was a tarantula. Due to his fear of these things, it was all he could do to corral it and schlep it to my place. I explained the difference to him and told him I wasn't gonna keep it but I would release it the next day. Three days later I stopped by his place and told him that I had put the spider in his fishing boat. He freaked. I think I took ten years off his life. I finally fessed up and told him it wasn't in his boat. We're still friends. Barely.
