I don't really know much of anything about this stuff, except that she's a 17 year old female Brown Haitian that my neighbor couldn't take with her on her move.

Does she need UV light?

Drops of some sort? There must be.

What is this illness?

We're indoors in Florida, with a temperature of like 74 degrees and a humidity of 55%. I do have a little 5 gallon tank heat pad stuck to the side of the glass, I could turn on. Am using aspen bedding. She's not very active, never has been (i've seen some on youtube jumping around). I suspect she's got at least a couple more years in her. She's always been in a 10 gallon tank, fed around 7 crickets a month, if that.

It's been getting worse over the years. Could it be the stress of being by the front door of the house? I could put her in a lower traffic area, but it would fluctuate in temp and humidity much more, as low as 65 degrees, not sure if i'd trust the heat pad on that, and she might get more vibration from music there, as opposed to door slamming and foot traffic.

No, she doesn't need UV light, in fact she needs no artificial light at all. It looks to me as though she's been kicking hairs which is nothing to worry about and may be just due to being moved or as you say the stress of being in a busy spot.

Good on you for taking her in and welcome to the forum.

I think Enn is correct. Those just look like urticating setae to me. She doesn't need special light or hear, and I recommend using Eco earth or peat or soil instead of aspen bedding. The temperature she's at right now is fine, but 60s is a little low. She looks good to me! Welcome aboard.
