There’s many annoying things that come and go when dealing with Arachnids, what has annoyed you lately?

That's a big part of the reason I moved away from arboreal tarantulas ..

Why do they always do it on the front of their containers?

    Ugh, I agree.

Because its the furthest away from there hide, In the wild leaving it close by outside would lead predictors to your door.
I caught my P. irminia one evening sitting on top of her cork tube and to my amazement she drop kicked a bolus with her palp right into the water dish about 7" away "GOAL"

How pet store employees who try to make chit chat with you change their tone and say "ew" when you tell them you have Tarantulas.
I have had a few good experiences- but mostly I end up to hearing about their "bad experiences" and fears. They cringe and the conversation gets awkward. I don't get why you would say ew and act grossed out to someone while talking about their pet!!! If you feel that way- keep it to yourself or tell someone after - why tell me??? Clearly I do not share your thoughts.
Along the same lines- talking to friends and family- they want to talk about their pets and kids but if I talk about my T and the ones I plan to get-
I can tell they have no interest and are possibly uncomfortable.
It sucks. That's why I love this forum :)

I think many of us here have that problem, I actually just had a lady at pet supply ask me the other day what I was feeding, and at this point I just say everything because I do keep a little bit of everything. She asked what's everything so I listed off what all I have and as soon as I mentioned the Ts, I got that same awkward moment where they look at you like your a freak, I just shrug it off and don't let it bother me, I love what I do and im not going to change because of someone else's opinion. I've had women leave and never talk to me again after they find out about them and I've had friends and family members unfriend me on social media from posting pics of my Ts. So definitely not going to let someone at the store bother me. At the end of the day im happy and always have the great people here that do care to hear and share stuff about their Ts as well.

T`s that constantly fill in the water dish. I swear that some of them can`t wait for me to fill them up. I can go back ten minutes later and it`s filled in and there`s no T in sight.:):T:.

My little G. rosea likes to wait until I fill its bowl then tip it over and roll it around on its side.

"Pet holes", haven't seen hide nor hair going on six weeks. People come over and ask about them and I point out the empty enclosures.
It's like you all need to come out and stretch your legs, all eight of them.

Ah, thank you sir, I was waiting for that. You win the thread. Thats EXACTLY what has steered me away from most old world spiders. If I have to sneak up on it in the dark with a flashlight just to get a brief glimpse...hey, we need an FU emoji too..
