Sigh, pressed enter and it posted the thread, there's no editing here? Anyhow, I have two Typhochlaena Seladonia I got a few weeks back, tiny little suckers. I have read up on them quite extensively with what's out there on the web. I have a few questions for those that are taking care of the slings though. Mine are just speeding around the top of their encloser all the time, in circles, is this normal for them? what is their appetite like? I have been told by the breeders that it can take months for them to actually make a trap door? Any other suggestions, advice would be great as knowledge is power. A couple of pictures I have taken show what they are currently living in and the future.
I made this new slightly bigger enclosure. With magnetic lid and small holes. She came out the smale cup shown in the picture. At first she only walked around and started webbing on the outside and did not make a trapdoor. But i came to notice there was no barkscrap. So i took a piece of bark and started drill with a small kitchen knife. (Here in Holland we call it litterly a potatocuttingknif ).
During the drilling you get tiny scrappies and add them like you would add salt with your fingers on a meal.
