Trinidad olive gold breeding help

Hi guys bought a pair of Trinidad olive golds online to hopefully be my first pair to breed as their my favourite species. Both arrived fine but male is far bigger than the female? I’m new to breeding can they still be bred? I thought typically females are much larger so fear I’ve been ripped off. I fear the female is still juvie/subadult and by the time she’s ready to breed my mature male will be gone.
