Wanted to start a thread for everyone to show their Tarantula collections. No matter how many you have this is the place to show your collection. Only have one on a shelf...share it!!! You've been hoarding a basement full of spiders for years...share it!!! Photos of Shelving, lights, and other T equipment along with ideas are all welcome here too. We can even help others design their spaces as well. DIY ideas and projects are welcome as well...:T:

You don't want to know what my tarantula room looks like (not very organized), although I am planning a move at some point, so maybe then I will show my excusively "tarantula room). By the way for future reference: @Arachnoclown where does one find shelves similar to what you use?
All my shelves are from Home depot or Lowes...which ever was cheaper at the time.

All my Ts live in my living room, the warmest room in the house.

I keep many of their containers in wooden vivariums to keep the cats away from the smaller tubs, they're not bothered about the Ts but they do like crickets. My Royal Python is in the 2nd vivarium down.

I have another shelf unit waiting to be constructed which will replace the stack of contaiers. The 12"x12"x12" ExoTerra holds 24 of the small slings again to keep them safe from the cats.

I'd like to start this off with a quick tour of my room...

Arachnoclown, at the expense of sounding like a weirdo: You are my spider idol; can we be best friends!? Lol. Seriously though, is breeding/selling T's your main job? How many different species have you had/do you currently have? You T room is even clean and organized! And the fact that you used CHEVELLE as the background music...yep, best friends. Thanks for sharing your collection! I'm ashamed to share my collection of only TWO, lol.

Here are my only TWO. B. Smithi and P. Irminia. My next is going to be A. Geniculata!

I'm not sure how many different species I have. I'll have to come back with that answer.
My last count was 386 mouths to feed.
Tarantulas and breeding are just my hobby. I have a full time job also.
I only sell my Ts in the spring and early summer. I sit on alot of Ts year round but I feel it's the safest time to ship. I also trade alot locally and sell to pet stores and reptile shops in my area.
I also breed 3 different types of roaches and even superworms...I sell those year round when I become overwhelmed with feeders.

Never be ashamed of the size of your collection. It's not about how many you have it's more about the care you can provide. I'm envious of small collections sometimes. I spend hours feeding ,watering, and cleaning all these Ts. Sometimes my entire weekend ends up in the spider room. My ideal collection would be around 20 Ts.
Chevelle...they're on of my favorite bands.

What a great thread...you KNOW we want to show!(and our hometown 'friends' don't necessarily want to look!) From left to right around the room I'm fortunate to have - used to be a porch that got closed in. There are 20 Ts...one of the enclosures has my 5 M.balfouris...at least I put 5 in about 10 months ago...have only ever seen 3 at once since then and then only once... occasionly see 1 or 2...ooo! I should add a pic of my red runner colony! Will post in P.S.!
