As I'm posting this, President Trump is holding a press conference with the President of Brazil.

These two have a very similar ideology & President Trump has just said that they want to open up each other's economies in space, infrastructure, AGRICULTURAL, and security.

President Trump has noted that Brazil has many quality products that haven't been accessible before.

Space launches are also bring mentioned. Ending all socialism is being important (yippee & hurrah) The President of Brazil just quoted Ronald Reagan!!

I’m not inherently anti-trump like so many are, but I fail to see what infrastructure and age development will do for tarantulas besides destroy habitat.

Right now, tarantulas aren't exported to anyone anywhere on Earth. Lowering trade barriers will nullify the Lacey act restrictions & let us get and breed more T seladonia as well as many other species, maybe even undiscovered ones.

While clear cutting is irresponsible, there are sustainable ways to get breeding stock from nature so that enough captive bred slings can be created.

It adds up. Now that they have said they'll open up their economy, exporters need to try to get some type of permit, citing the commitment given to the President.

Who knows? They might go for it. If you bribe the right person...

I doubt it, plus importations directly from Brazil, really doesn't involve anybody in the US, as most, if not all of what comes into the US with eight legs mainly comes from Europe.

Not to mention president puke stain couldn't care less about what would benefit others especially if they actually work for a living and animal exports are not even on the list. It is not just TinyHands who wouldn't even consider that, almost everyone involved with politics wouldn't even consider animal importation.

Any thoughts that presidente cara de puerco is going to help the hobby should be forgotten, as he is only in it for himself and his daughter wife.

Perhaps, but even stone cold sociopaths tend to respond to money for nothing.

Example: getting a court order, perhaps with around a $500 payment, for something that passes for an export permit.

Any bureaucracy or any government will have a form that has something like other/miscellaneous/nonstandard upon it's inner pages in fine print. This type of paperwork exists somewhere in the bowels of any and all bureaucracies to create an aura of compliance for ambiguous circumstances.

In this category one would simply write something like say, T seladonia leaving the description blank or cryptic. I'd write something like "thera. specimen--non-haz >1gram" by hand semi-legibly on said form.

Then call absolutely no attention to yourself whatsoever when you leave. Bureaucrats are more concerned with the process then the result.

We refer to this process as a loophole. No, please don't PM me and ask if I still have my logbooks from back in the day when I drove CDL over the road.

When I heard that the industry actually went through with it and went to electronic logs, I had already moved on.

Still, freeing up trade should mean more types and larger amounts of exports and imports. If Brazil charged $100 to $200 per export permit per shipment, they'd make enough money to justify it.

I get my fare share of leftist censorship elsewhere, against anyone not on the regressive left. Why is it Forums and blogs etc bring out the unkindness in us? We are all here just doing the best we can. We all need all the help we can get. I don't even know you. I'll tell you why, keyboard warriors. There are millions of people who will run their mouth on a computer because there are no repercussions online. I am not pointing fingers at anyone specifically but there are tons of people who will spout off online but would never say things to a persons face, I call them computer cojones.
