Hello! I'm brand new to the forum.

I have a smithi who is the light of my life... love her to pieces! I got her as a 5cm juvenile in late 2015 so I'd say she's probably 3 this year but not sure. She is a female. She used to molt every 2-3 months but then she stopped - she hasn't molted since June 2016! She seems fine and happy and her temperature/humidity is all fine and she eats very well. I know they tend to go longer without molts as they grow but just wondered if going from 2-3 months to 7-8 months is normal!

Picture of her attached. Thank you
Holly Morgan

It is true that, the older/bigger they get, the longer time it is between molts.
Starting from every month (to few months), and going on up to molting once per year &/or then on up to once every two yrs.
As long as your girl is behaving normally, you should have nothing to worry about.
